Red Bull Uncharted Trailer
The Red Bull Uncharted project brought together Wingsuit BASE jumpers Shane McConkey (was and still is a man’s man), Miles Daisher, and Chuck Berry. Set in Fiordland in New Zealand they do the first jumps off Terror Peak in Milford sound. The 25 minute documentary will be available in June 2009.
Watch the Neww Zealand 20 20 show about our minds. http://tvnz.co.nz/20-20-news/inside-minds-extreme-athletes-2733754/video it has some really good Shane McConkey stuff. I love watching Shane stuff. Hucking on Baffin Island
This is an oldie but goody. If B.A.S.E. jumping had cult classics, this would be one of them.
This is one of my favorite pictures from our BASE jumping trip to Baffin Island. We called this rock Ottawa Peak, it was 4390ft higher than the frozen ocean landing area. The picture was taken by our climbing guide Mike Libecki. The jumpers are Shane McConkey, Miles Daisher, Mike Vail, and Charles Bryan. I hope to go back to Baffin some day.
Shane’s Memorial
Seeing all the people that came to Shanes memorial was incredible. He obviously touched the lives of thousands of people including all of ours on the Red Bull Air Force. He will be greatly missed but never forgotton. A true athlete and inspiration. We promise to never tuck but continue to huck!!!!!

Shane McConkey 1969-2009

Today March 26th, 2009 skiing lost an ambassador, B.A.S.E. jumping an
innovator, the world a jester, and we all lost a friend.
The great thing about Shane was that you knew his personality, even if you
didn’t meet him in person. You could watch a video of [...]
