Celebrate Eli Thompson’s Life!
Friends and family are gathering on Saturday September 12th at Skydive Perris to celebrate the life of Eli Thompson. The memorial will start at 4:00pm, culminating with a sunset skydive in honor of Eli’s life. Stories and hugs will be shared into the wee hours. All are invited, because that is the way Eli would have done it.
Paragliding kicks ass!
My skydiver bud, Josh Mitchell, from Skydive Arizona is visiting my awesome lady and I in colorful Colorado. I took josh for a PG ride today and he was tripping out on all the new sensations the paraglider canopy has versus the skydive canopy. Well, heck ya, any piece of nylon and strings you can session the sky with is kick ass!!!!
I took my cousins for their first PG ride. Check the vid.
My cousins were in town last week so I took them for their first paraglider rides! Wooooo!!!!!
I flew my new fan for the first time today!
My new Super Flat Top really kicks ass! I had a blast dragging my feet in the canals and wet pastures today. Although I got soaked it was well worth it. It’s super rainy in Colorado right now so I had to rush out and fly before the rain hit this morning so no vid or pictures today, but i’ll be back soon with some goods.
O
Super nice flight off beacon in SLC.
I just hiked my big dumb backpack up Beacon hill above the U of U in SLC. I’ll tell you what, hiking a couple thousand vertical feet with a 40lb backpack that isn’t exactly made to carry a load uphill is soul crushing. To top it off I forgot a jacket so while I waited an hour for the wind to lie down I froze my ass off!
However, the flight down was awesome! Great evening air and a few tricks before landing at the mental institution. No really, that’s where the LZ is!
