Having Fun at Red Bull Flugtag Long Beach

This was a fun 2 jumps. Luke and I were definitely jacked up after our first jump into this year Red Bull Flugtag at Long Beach. It was one of the more challenging Flugtags. Due to the infrastructure and direction of the winds we couldn’t come straight into the 25′ high barge like normal. We had to carve it onto the deck. Miles also swooped in his skyak for the crowd. Thanks to Aaron Fitzgerald (www.airborneimages.net) for a perfect on time and spot flight. This video is shot by Chris Santacroce.

Texas Paramotor Tandems

While in Texas chasing records, Othar and I took some time to do some tandem paramotor flights with an all-star cast of Texas Red Bull team. The video speaks for itself - they had a blast! The awesome thing about these flights is that we can offer them to friends of Red Bull, VIP’s etc. anywhere, anytime. The only thing the video doesn’t capture is the heat and humidity. What a total blast. Thank you Texas! Huge thanks to the team at parafreedom.com ( the paragliding outfitter in the Houston area ) Bud and Sonny helped make sure that we had just what we needed, when we needed it, from motors to parts and local beta.

Canadian Paragliding National Championships

Here’s a little video Ole Haddeland made from the Canadian Paragliding National Championships. I ended up third after missing the final two days of flying because I left early to prepare for another project. Congrats to Will Gadd, fellow Red Bull athlete, for taking the Canadian Champ title again.

Yes, I put my glider on the the roof of a shed after misjudging the wind in a tight LZ, haha! It came out unscathed. It was Chris Muller’s house so I’m sure he would be proud since I saw much worse(or better depending on your point of view) goal field landings from him. It was great to land in his yard none the less!

This was a great jump on a clear day with thousands of people cheering. The wingsuit is just too cool for words.

Wings Over Santa Rosa

This was a fun wingsuit jump. We jumped several times, often stopping traffic and getting a lot more attention than we expected.

Shooting Human 3-D!

Super fun jump where the weather was just right for the smoke and it seamed like we were making full-on clouds in the sky. Pakistan never looked so good.
